How Trézor Suite works
At its core, Trézor Suite is a non-custodial application: the private keys required to control your assets are generated and stored on your hardware device, never on the internet, and never on the Suite servers. When you create an account on a Trézor device, a recovery seed is produced and displayed on the device screen — never on your computer. Trézor Suite provides the user interface to interact with your accounts, build transactions, and broadcast them to the network after on-device confirmation.
Transactions are created within the Suite, shown in a clear human-readable format, then sent as unsigned messages to the Trézor hardware device to be signed. Signing requires physical confirmation — a deliberate user action on the device buttons or touchscreen — preventing remote attackers from silently moving funds. The signed transaction is then returned to the Suite, which broadcasts it to the network via a connected node.
The Suite supports a wide range of coins and tokens, with curated integrations for major networks and transparent partner listings for swaps and services. Advanced users can opt to connect to their own node, enable coin control, or configure a multisignature workflow. For those new to crypto, the Suite includes educational tooltips, step-by-step setup, and recommended best practices for recovering and securing your seed.
